Each year on the first Saturday in May, homebrewers unite non-brewing and brewing friends and family to celebrate  National Homebrew Day, joining with thousands of homebrewers from around the world in brewing the same recipes and sharing a simultaneous toast at noon Central Time.

SNC will be hosting the American Homebrew Association’s 14th annual “Learn to Homebrew Day”.  This event is designed to teach potential and novice brewers how to brew.

The Homebrewing craze is sweeping the nation, even the White House is getting into the act.  Come see for yourself how fun and rewarding this hobby can be.

What do we do to celebrate National Homebrew Day?  We brew up an all-grain batch of beer at Stomp N Crush, of course!  Stop in to check it out, we’ll have the BBQ fired up too!

What is National Homebrew Day?  Each year the American Homebrewers Association highlights homebrew recipes for Big Brew. Then hundreds of homebrewers register their Big Brew locations for a communal brew-in to celebrate.

Learn to Homebrew Day 2011

Saturday November 5th is the American Homebrewer’s Association’s “Learn to Homebrew Day 2011″. Please come join M.A.S.H. (Maniacal Association of Shoreline Hombrewers), Connecticut’s newest Homebrew Club as they host a free brewing demonstration. They’ll be brewing two beers, one from malt extract and one with whole grain. It will be a fun, educational afternoon, so make plans to stop by and bring some friends.

Where: Chamard Vineyard 115 Cow Hill Rd, Clinton.
When: November 5th 11:00AM – 5:00PM

Learn to HomeBrew Day

Saturday, Nov. 5th is the AHA’s Learn to Homebrew day!

Join Stomp N Crush and the Maniacal Association of Shoreline Homebrewers (M*A*S*H) as we brew up two batches of beer using extract and all grain methods to homebrewing beer. Come and join us for a fun day where you can learn the different techniques of the two methods from a group of very talented and passionate homebrewers.  We’ll be brewing at Chamard Vineyards, which is a perfect setting for this event. Feel free to bring food and drink as there are picnic tables on the grounds.

Brewing Demo at Chamard Vineyards

We’re hosting a Brewing Demo on Saturday (May 7th) at Chamard Vineyard.  May 7th is the National Homebrewers Big Brew Day and we’ll be demonstrating all-grain brewing.  So come and see the process, talk beer making methods, share ideas and homebrews and just have a great time with folks who love beer.  For those who have expressed interest in forming a “brew club”, this will be a perfect venue to kick that off.
